The E Visa is applied online, and is much easier to get when compared with former traditional visas. With these visas you don’t have to visit the embassy and get your visa stamped inside the passport, despite it is attached electronically to your passport after approval.
While applying for your Turkey E Visa it is not required to submit your original passport or other documents to get the visa processed. Just fill-in the application form, submit a copy of your documents (if asked), make payment and your visa will be attached to your passport in within 24-48 hours approximately. With an E Visa you may stay in Turkey for the time period of 90 days. Though if you want to stay more than that, you may get your visa extended for further 6 months by visiting the local Police Station for a residence permit. If in case you overstay in the country without a visa, you might be asked to pay fines and further actions may also be taken.
